Visiting Mansour Osanloo by the members of the Executive Board of the Syndicate of Workers of Vahed Company
Mansour Osanloo, labor activist and president of the Executive Board of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburban Bus Vahed Company, is in jail for his workers’ rights activism, was visited by his family and members of the Executive Board of the Syndicate on April 27 when he was transferred to Labafinejad hospital in Tehran.
Reza Shahabi, a member of the Executive Board of the Syndicate, about this visiting said to DW, “Today, Mr. Mansour Osanloo was transferred from the prison to the hospital to check up his eye. Members of the Executive Board and his family visited him.”
Reza Shahabi explained that Osanloo was in a good spirit. He said that he was really very happy and determined when he was talking with his family and the members of the Executive Board. As Shahabi said, Mansour Osanloo, once again, emphasized on the slogans which reflect workers’ demands, and workers have been trying to fulfill their human rights in Iran for several years. That is, Decent Life and Independent Labor Organizations as the Absolute Workers’ Rights.
Reza Shahabi added that Osanloo reminded May Day, International Labor Day, as the Solidarity Day for workers in Iran and the globe, and he asked all workers to stand up together, hand in hand, united and with their solidarity, to defend their fundamental rights, right to organize their independent labor trade unions and decent life. Osanloo expressed his hope that, “If workers speak with one voice and make authorities to hear it, we will achieve to our legitimate rights, workers rights and independent labor organizations.”
